Foliage viewing is mandatory.<\/p>\n<p>And the Washington Park Arboretum has 236 acres of fall colors to go around.<\/p>\n<p>The arboretum was purpose-built to house a huge variety of different trees from all over the places.<\/p>\n<p>Norwegian Maples. Sweet Buckeyes. Japanese Bonsai. to go indoors.<\/p>\n<p>Very, very indoors.<\/p>\n<p>Below ground, even.<\/p>\n<p>Spooked in Seattle has been operating out of Pioneer Square for 15 years, and is the longest running ghost tour in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Expect lots of creepy audio recordings, macabre dolls, and tales of dead people in Seattle&#8217;s history.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s kind of heavy-handed on the kitsch, but let&#8217;s face <em>klatsch<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kaffeeklatsch<\/em> is a German word that has no English equivalent.<\/p>\n<p>But, loosely translated, it means &#8220;a gathering of friends for coffee and conversation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s one of the best ways to spend a rainy fall day together, and Seattle has places for your klatsching all over.<\/p>\n<p>Swing by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattlecoffeeworks.com\/\">Seattle Coffee Works<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/anchorheadcoffee.com\/\">Anchorhead Coffee<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/caffeumbria.com\/\">Caff\u00e8 it&#8217;s one of the best places to get your fall on.<\/p>\n<p>Find a bookstore like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elliottbaybook.com\/\">Elliott Bay Book Company<\/a> to hunker down in and get some pages
